Time is not wasted

if we hang some bird feeders

and make some suet

*

It’s always inspiring to watch the winter birds diving for seed and taking turns at a bird feeder.

We are all alternately tired or terrified in waves, as the days quiver. The planet needs our love. People and wildlife do, too.

A lot could be toned down and mellowed out with everyday people committing to perma-culture, reducing both visible and invisible pollution in our individual and collective spheres, investing in vertical urban gardens, and reducing and re-using what we have.

None of us have all the answers, but all of us have some.

Maybe it’s not what we think but how we think that is important. “Go Forsythia!” (the introvert’s version of sports).
